Manage your RFX Listings

This section covers the creation, management, and closure of RFX listings. You may post as many RFXs as you require.  First, start with what kind of RFX you need, such as RFB, RFI, RFP or RFQ.  Refer to RFX Types in Help for more details. 



Next, select the category you need for your RFX.  Racking, Forklifts, Services, etc.  The page will load, displaying the specifications you can enter for your request for Sellers to send you a quote. The more detailed, the easier it is to get a proper quote.   The last page is where you can edit your RFX title, describe the product or service you are looking for, or, in the case of RFB, provide the details of the equipment you want a dealer to quote a price to buy.   

The default time for an RFX listing is 180 days, but you can enter an earlier date for your needs - the last day you will accept proposals or choose the seller you want to work with.
Photos are optional for RFXs.  The gallery images could be handy to show what you need by example.  The Thumbnail is for your own management as those are not shown on RFX listings.

Once published, Sellers can view and send you messages regarding your RFX.  Only sellers can send such messages to you.

Managing your RFX
From Dashboard, click on the side menu My RFXs.
From there, you can manage all of your RFX postings. 

Each listing is enclosed in an Item Manager.  It shows the title, partial description at the top.  Your RX ID#, Status if it's Active or closed, the date created, and when your RFX will automatically expire.  It doesn't close the RFX, but it will remove the listing.  You may close an RFX after it has expired.  




The Listing Manager has five buttons:


Messages: Shows only the messages related to that particular RFX.  You can read, reply, negotiate, and manage messages from sellers.

View: Takes you to the public page of your RFX listing. 

Edit RFX: Allows you to change most aspects of your RFX, such as title, specifications, and ending date.  You cannot change the category of your published RFX listings.

Close: Use this to end your RFX.  You have selected the seller and no longer need to work with others.  A pop-up will allow you to put in the Sale price and, optionally, other costs for your RFX.   Select the Seller from the drop-down menu.  This menu will show you the list of sellers you have been communicating with. 
You may then type in additional notes regarding the RFX.

When you finish closing out your RFX, you will not be able to change those final values, nor be able to edit your RFX. 

Closed or expired RFXs cannot be edited. 

All of the Sellers you communicated with will be notified that the RFX has been closed and that they have not been selected by you.

You will be able to continue using X-SPLEX messaging with the sellers you interacted with if you have further questions or want to ask them if they have other inventory for sale, etc.

Delete: This removed your RFX from public listing, it removed your RFX from your Dashboard.  The messages to/from your RFX will still remain in your Dashboard Messages section.  You'll need to delete those manually if you want to. 

The sellers you've communicated with will get an indication that your listing was deleted.

Important notes:
Message threads are created by the other party to respond to your listing.  You may choose to ignore, reply to, or remove those messages.  You can select the priority of those messages and view the seller's price quotes. 

A seller can only start one thread for an RFX listing.  

If you Remove a Seller thread, the seller will not be notified.  You will not get any more messages from them.  They cannot start a new thread for that listing.
